Chapter 3 deals with work of prisoners, wages and occupational accidents. S. 49 provides that prisoners shall not be employed on feast days and on official occasions except for the necessary tasks required by the prison institution. According to s. 50, the chief of the prison institution shall specify the kind of work to be undertaken by prisoners after carrying out the necessary medical examinations.

    This Resolution is composed of 26 articles. Article 1 gives terms and definitions. Requirements, conditions, analysis, sampling, and documents necessary for the registration of pesticides are contained in articles 3-6. Article 7 deals with the cancellation or revocation of registration of pesticides. The list of registered pesticides shall be revised every 5 years (art. 8). Article 9 prohibits the import of pesticides listed in Annex 1. The importation of pesticides listed in Annex 2 shall need a special authorization issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fish Resources (art. 10). Articles 11-14 define measures and documents necessary for the trade, importation and processing of pesticides. Requirements, conditions and data for pesticides are given in article 15. Article 16 illustrates the data and information which pesticides' labels shall contain. Article 17 indicates the requirements for, and description of liquid and dry pesticide packages and weight. Articles 18-24 deal with liquid and dry sampling measures and methods. All persons residing in the UAE owning an activity related to Federal Law No. 41 of 1992 shall settle their position within 6 months from the date of entry into force of the Law (art. 25).

    Sections 24, 26, 37, 38, and 39 deal with work of prisoners. Section 24 establishes that prisoners of caterory (c) may not work except for tasks identified in the executive regulations. They shall receive appropriate remuneration, and shall not work for more than eight hours per day. Their state of health is to be taken into account in determining their employment. Also makes provision for wages and disciplinary measures.

    This Law is composed of 12 articles. Article 1 contains definitions and terms. This Law shall apply to all pesticides, active substances of pesticides, added substances as well as to commercial equipment with the exception of the pesticides imported for universities (art. 2). The importation, exportation, preparation and circulation of pesticides which are not registered at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fish Resources approved by the Agricultural Pesticides Committee shall be prohibited (art. 3). Article 4 provides for the establishment of the Agricultural Pesticides Committee at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fish Resources. The Minister of Agriculture and Fish Resources shall issue the resolution necessary for the implementation of this Law (art. 6). All persons residing in the UAE having an activity related to Federal Law No. 41 of 1992 shall settle their position within 6 months from the date of entry into force of this Law (art. 7). The employees assigned and responsible for the implementation of this Law have the competence to act as bailiffs and officers (art. 8). Article 9 deals with offences and penalties. The Council of Ministries shall issue a resolution for defining the taxes and royalties for the activities of this Law (art. 10).

Chapter 2 contains general provisions regarding publishing houses, including requirements for owners and managers of publishing houses. Chapter 3 regulates circulation of publications. Establishes that no person shall be allowed to sell or circulate publications in a public space without permit obtained from the competent authority. Chapter 4 deals with newspapers, periodic publications and news agencies. Chapter 5 provides for import and export of publications, newspapers and news letters. Provides that non-nationals who are not registered for this purpose at the Ministry may not import or export publications or newspapers. Chapter 6 deals with films and similar work. Chapter 7 establishes which material is prohibited from publication. Sets forth prohibition to criticise President of the Republic or the rulers of the Emirates, as well as a number of other prohibitions. Chapter 8 provides for penalties.
