Provides for tasks of the employment service (training, upgrading and professional orientation), insurance in case of unemployment (rights, benefits, duration of benefit payment), and public works. Also deals with the organization, management and direction of the Employment Agency.

Decision of 9 April 1997 to approve the levels of contributions for pension and disability insurance for persons temporarily unemployed until they receive temporary unemployment benefit (Text No. 335).

Contribution level is fixed at 30 percent of the base value from which the benefit is established.
