Gives, new wording to para 2 of article 26 of the Labour Code (Restrictions on Conclusion of Employment Contract) regulating the issue of employment contracts with persons under 18 years old.

Rephrases para 8 of article 8 of the Law on Political Parties providing, inter alia, that membership in a political party ceases automatically when the person starts his/her military service.

Regulates the relationship arising from military service of Kazakh citizens. Makes, inter alia, the legal distinction between a military draft and service based on a contract. Chapter 8 regulates the legal basis for State policy to ensure social protection of the military personnel.
Repeals the previous Law on Statute of the Military and Social Protection of their Families (Vedomosti Verkhovnogo Soveta, 1993, No. 2, p. 32) as well as Law on Military Draft and Military Service (Vedomosti Parlamenta, 2005, No. 14, p. 60).

Rephrases para 1-1 of article 156 regulating compensation payments to employees in cases when their work is performed en route or is a travelling job or involves official trips within the bounds of sectors serviced; sub-paragraph 1 of para 1 of article 303 regulating the question of strikes in periods of martial law or emergency situations; sub-paragraph 2 of para 1 of article 322 regulating the work of servicemen in the armed forces engaged to perform work not connected with military service.
