    Government Decision 1073/2001 on the amendment of Government Decision 1047/1999 on the improvment of the living conditions and social status of Gypsies (Roma).

    Deals with measures aiming to help disadvantaged gypsy children and youth to overcome obstacles in the field of education.

  2. Hungary - Non-discrimination - Regulation, Decree, Ordinance

    Decree 19/2001 of the Minister of Education amending Decree 32/1997 of the Minister of Labour on the the kindergarten and school education of national and ethnic minorities.

    Completes the amended decree with the requirements of the education of the Bulgarian, Greek and Russian minorities.

    Act 60/2001 on the transposition of the Protocol to the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.

    According to Hungarian law, in order to be binding, all international treaties have to be transposed into Hungarian law by an act of Parliament. The Act contains the official translation of the Protocol.

  4. Hungary - Non-discrimination - Miscellaneous (circular, directive, legal notice, instruction, etc.)

    Parliamentary Resolution No. 42/2000 regarding granting subsidies to national and ethnic minorities' organisations.

    Gives a state subsidy of 94.6 Hungarian forints to different minority groups including, inter alia, Germans, Serbs, Slovaks, Croatians and Slovenians - but mainly Roma peoples' organisations - to promote their integration throughout the entire country. The concerned minorities' organisations - and associations are listed in an annex.

  5. Hungary - Non-discrimination - Regulation, Decree, Ordinance

    Decree No. 38 of the Government, to amend Decree No. 17 of 1968.

    Amends rules regarding non-discrimination in employment with regard to gender, age, nationality, race, origin, religion, political conviction, or any other factor that is not related to labour.

  6. Hungary - Non-discrimination - Regulation, Decree, Ordinance

    Ordonnance no 74/1991 du gouvernement relative à la régularisation au regard de la sécurité sociale et du droit du travail de la situation des personnes qui ont été déportées, mobilisées dans les bataillons de travail ou privées de leur liberté personnelle par d'autres moyens pendant la période 1938-1945 en raison de leur appartenance nationale ou raciale ou de leurs activités contre le nazisme.

    Prévoit l'augmentation de la retraite de vieillesse et/ou de l'indemnité d'incapacité des personnes visées. Cette ordonnance sera appliquée selon les dispositions de l'ordonnance no. 93/1990 (21 nov.) concernant les victimes de la période 1945-1963.
