Presidential Decree No. 37 of 2008, concerning the granting of parental leave to seafarers in commercial ships, according to Council Directive 96/34/EC of 3 June 1996 on the framework agreement on parental leave concluded by UNICE, CEEP and the ETUC. Adoption: 2008-04-03 | Date of entry into force: 2008-04-15 | GRC-2008-R-83397 Stipulates that in ships with less than 30 employees, the arrangements for the granting of parental leave to male and female workers should be negotiated between the employer and the workers. The worker to whom a parental leave is granted must pay for their travel expenses to and from the ship.
