Regulations 3 and 4 provides widowers with similar benefits to those available to widows. Regulations 5 and 6 provide that children of female beneficiaries have the same entitlement to children's compensation as the children of male beneficiaries.

    Amends the Social Security Act 1975 and the Social Security (Severe Disablement Allowance) Regulations 1984. Regulation 2 provides that for the purposes of section 36(4) of the Act those living abroad serving in the armed forces, and their families, shall be treated as being resident and present in Great Britain. Regulation 3 specifies the circumstances under which a person shall be treated under section 36A of the Act as having qualified for severe disablement allowance.

    Concerns remuneration and other conditions of employment of school teachers. It establishes a review body to consider statutory conditions of employment of school teachers, provides for orders relating to statutory conditions of employment, special provisions as to grant-maintained schools, and other connected matters. The Teachers' Pay and Conditions Act 1987 and section 46(1) and paragraphs 38 and 39 of Schedule 12 of the Education Reform Act 1988 are repealed.

    Amends the Aliens' Employment Act 1955 to allow nationals of member states to be employed in the Civil Service, to ensure compliance with Article 48 of the E.E.C. Treaty providing for freedom of movement for workers within the European Community. Made under the European Communities Act 1972.
