Abstract/Citation
Chapter I - Preliminary.
Defines "backwards classes" as such backwards classes of citizens other than the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes as may be specified by the Central Government in the lists.
Chapter II - The National Commission for Backward Classes.
The NCBC is composed of five persons nominated by the Central Government including one Chairperson who is or has been a judge in the High Court or Supreme Court, a social scientist, two persons with knowledge of the backwards classes and a member secretary who is or has been a member of the Central Government
