Abstract/Citation
The purpose of the Workplace Relations Regulations 2006 is to repeal and replace the Workplace Relations Regulations 1996 to accommodate the amendments to the Workplace Relations Act introduced by the Work Choices Act. The Regulations are largely machinery or transitional in nature and necessary for the effective operation of the WR Act as amended by the Work Choices Act. Some of the Regulations, however, replicate, with appropriate amendments, the current provisions in the Workplace Relations Regulations 1996. The Regulations are divided into eight Chapters.
