| Résumé/Citation: | Repeals article 1 (2) and article 2 (2, part 2) concerning the visa information system (VIS). Amends articles 9c and 42j by changing the order of the sections; articles 10 and 28 (1) concerning the abbreviation of the SIS II; article 19 (3) concerning the right to recall a residence permit; article 33 concerning residence permits; and articles 40a-b concerning measures for personal identification of a foreign citizen. Adds article 2a (4-9) concerning the visa information system (VIS) and the Schengen Information System (SIS II); article 19 (10) concerning the right to recall a residence permit; article 45c (2-3) concerning the right of authorities to provide information for legal prosecution of a foreign citizen in criminal cases with a possible penalty of more than 6 years of imprisonment; and article 58g concerning the right of the police to report a non-EU citizen to the SIS II if the citizen's freedom of movement has been restricted by the UN or the EU. |
