Amends the law relating to social security and occupational and personal pension schemes; makes provision with respect to certain employment-related benefit schemes; and provides for the recovery, out of certain compensation payments, of amounts determined by reference to payments of benefit. Section 5 concerns liability to maintain children, sections 6 to 12 - benefits under the principal Act including requalification and disqualification of unemployment benefit, sections 13 to 16 - income-related benefits, sections 17 to 18 - up-rating, and sections 19 to 21 - information and adjudication. Section 23 provides for equal treatment for men and women with respect to occupational and personal pensions. Schedule 9 indicates repeals. |
