Résumé/Citation: |
Makes various amendments to a number of Acts, in particular the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002, concerning appeals. Concerning employment, the Act creates a civil penalty for an employer who employs an adult migrant in an irregular situation. It also creates a criminal offence for those who knowingly employ such persons and allows the Secretary of State to issue a code of practice to employers on how to avoid unlawful racial discrimination when applying these provisions. The Act also makes various amendments to the Immigration Act 1971 (c.77), the Asylum and Immigration (Treatment of Claimants, etc.) Act 2004 and the Immigration an Asylum Act 1999 concerning information and claimants and applicants. |
