Second Region

Applies to trade disputes in any of those services rendered by whomsoever to the public which are listed in Schedule of Act. Regulates constitution of Arbitration Tribunal, as well as resolution of trade disputes. Any party to dispute may report dispute to Minister. If Minister does not resolve dispute himself, he may refer it to Tribunal. Also provides for prohibition of lock-outs and strikes: employer shall not declare or take part in lock-out and worker shall not take part in strike in connection with any trade dispute, unless dispute has been reported to Minister in accodance with provisions of this Act and a period of 21 days has elapsed since the date of the report and the dispute has not during that time been referred by Minister for settlement in accordance with this Act.
