Second Region

Defines the term "child" as every human being below the age of 18 years. Recognizes every child's rights and freedoms irrespective of his/her parents' or legal guardians' race, ethnic group, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national and social origin, fortune, birth or other status. Recognizes the rights and duties of a child: freedom of expression; freedom of association; freedom of thought, conscience and religion; protection of privacy; right to education. Prohibits any form of child labour or exploitation and child abuse and torture.
