Résumé/Citation: Abolishes prostitution and obliges States parties to punish any person involved in prostitution either by way of enticing or exploiting another person or by financing/ managing a brothel and similar buildings/places.
Encourages Parties, through their public and private educational, health, social, economic and other related services, to take measures for the prevention of prostitution and for the rehabilitation and social adjustment of the victims of prostitution. Obliges States parties to adopt or maintain such measures as are required, to check the traffic in persons of either sex for the purpose of prostitution.
