Amends Social Security (International Agreements) Act, 1999. Contains consolidated changes to Agreement on Social Security between Australia and Canada of 4 July 1988. Part I provides for definitions, personal and legislative scope, as well as for equality of treatment. Part II contains provisions relating to totalisation and calculation of Australian benefits, and to recovery of debts. Part III contains provisions relating to Canadian benefits. Finally, Part IV deals with miscellaneous administraive matters. Also extends and modifies agreement between Australia and the Netherlands on Social Security of 4 January 1991. Part I of this amendment provides for definitions, legislative scope, personal scope, equality of treatment, and payments of benefits abroad. Part II contains provisions on coverage, Part III provisions relating to Australian benefits, Part IV provisions relating to Netherlands benefits, Part V common provisions, and Part VI miscellaneous and administative provisions. Finally, amends and supplements agreement on social security between Australia and Austria on social security of 1 April 1992. |
