Second Region

Purpose of this Act is to encourage and help people - especially those aged 16 years or older, but younger than 22 years - to take up and complete apprenticeship training. Makes provision for the functions and powers of the Agency established under the Education Act 1989; the functions, duties and liabilities of apprenticeship coordinators; and for the application of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. Also sets forth a code of practice.
