Second Region

Amends the law relating to employment, to trade unions and to employment agencies and businesses. Governs collective bargaining and recognition of bargaining agents. Prohibits blacklists for use by employers to discriminate against employees who are active in trade unions. Governs complaints to employment tribunals. Confirms a worker's right not to suffer unfair dismissal or detriment because of involvement in a trade union, because of maternity or parental leave or because of domestic incidents. Similarly prohibits unfair dismissals of striking workers. Establishes that the Secretary of State may issue a code of practice with regard to ending the discrimination of part-time workers. Provides for the indexation of awards.
