Abstract/Citation
Sets forth requirements for certification as masters or seafarers aboard ships other than fishing vessels or yachts. Requirements include proficiency in safety training, use of survival craft, fire-fighting techniques, and medical aid. Also sets forth requirements with regard to watchkeeping, including mandatory rest periods and watchkeeping arrangements. Made under the Merchant Shipping Act.
