Abstract/Citation
Contains 32 sections covering, inter alia, scope of application, definitions, operating rules for merchant ships, fishing ships and leisure ships, special rules for the crew, change of tonnage, settlement of disputes and competent tribunal, training requirements for the crew, licence for trade at sea, and penal sanctions. Repeals the Act respecting ships crew (Notification No. 105 of 1994) and the Maritime Trade Act (Notification No. 372 of 1990). Transitional rules contained in s. 30 (3).
