Résumé/Citation: |
The Instructions Decree Obligatory Insured Sickness Fund Act (Stb. No.66, 1996) is herewith amended to provide for more flexibility when employees choose full-time and long-term parental leave with or without pay. The flexibility is necessary to provide for a continuation of the Sickness Fund Insurance which would otherwise expire after a period of leave from paid work. This decree provides that the Sickness Insurance will remain valid while a worker takes unpaid parental leave and its costs will be recovered through special administrative procedures as long as the parental leave does not exceed 26 weeks. See also Stb. No. 266 of 25 June 1997 which concerns parental leave. |
