Résumé/Citation: Establishes the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority and its governing board, and the National Institute of Radiation Protection and Research. The Authority shall monitor the use of radiation in industry and formulate codes of practice for the use of radiation. Part VII deals with the control of ionising radiation. Enterprises must register premises in which ionising radiation is used, and accidental exposure to radiation shall be reported to the Authority. S. 28 creates two classifications of working condidtions: Working Condition A, in which annual exposure to radiation exceeds a prescribed amount, and B, in which annual exposure does not exceed precribed amounts. Workers employed under Condition A shall be provided health surveillance. Persons under the age of 18 are prohibited from working in Condition A.
