Résumé/Citation: |
Provisions concerning compulsory insurance against the financial consequences of prolonged incapacity for work. Every worker under the age of 65 shall be insured under this Act. Eligibility to benefit arises when an insured person has been continously incapacitated for work for 52 weeks, remains incapacitated at the end of that period, and received a minimum earned income during the preceding year. Benefit amounts to 70 per cent of the minimum wage and diminishes gradually in the event of partial incapacity. Also contains provisions concerning the revision of the disability benefit and the conjunction of the disability benefit with other social security benefits. All insured persons may qualify for measures to maintain, restore or improve their ability to work, for medical services and for measures to improve their living conditions. Employers may be granted compensation for costs resulting from the adaptation of the working place for the employment of disabled persons. Deals with positive and negative measures affecting employers, in order to promote employment of disabled persons. |
