Abstract/Citation
Repeals sections 9(1) and 14(2), amends sections 2(2), 4-7, 8(2-3), the heading to section 9, sections 10(2), 11, 15, 20(1) and 21(1), and inserts new sections 6 (actions to promote equality), and 10(3-4) (the employers' obligation to inform employees as well as their representatives of the grounds for decisions and the duty not to reveal such information) and 14(a) (criminalization of breach of the duty not to reveal information). The amendments (in section 4) include the introduction of a quota system according to which the membership of all public committees and other bodies shall consist of at least 40 percent of both women and men, unless there are special reasons for another ratio between the sexes in the membership.
