Abstract/Citation
During the time of military service the soldier's contract cannot be terminated by the employer. The employment relationship is suspended during the time of military service. This special protection against dismissal ends one month after the soldier finishes his military service, so that a dismissal by the employer during that period is considered as unlawful and as a consequence void. On the other hand the employee is obligated to start work immediately at the end of his military service (within 6 days). Otherwise his labour contract is automatically regarded as terminated by the soldier. Consolidated text.
