Abstract/Citation
An Act to provide for the maintenance of certain essential services and the normal life of the community. Entitles the local authorities to prohibit strikes in essential services. A "reasonable suspicion" of offences against the Act is sufficient ground for non-bailable arrest without a warrant, offences are tried in summary trials and are criminally sanctioned. Repeals the Kerala Essential Services Maintenance Ordinance, 1993 (No. 7 of 1993)
