Comprised of 22 Parts, 395 articles and 12 Schedules. Part I provides for the Union and its territory. Part II concerns citizenship. Part III deals with fundamental rights (including the right to equality before the law, prohibition of discrimination, right to freedom of speech and religion, prohibition of traffic in human beings and forced labour, and cultural and education rights). Part IV and IVA contain directive principles of state policy and fundamental duties. Part V regulates the Union (the executive, parliament etc.). Parts VI through XI deal with the states, the Union territories and their relationship. Other Parts concern matters such as finance, trade and commerce, tribunals and emergency provisions.
