Second Region

Amends the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1987, inter alia, by allowing a claim for family credit or disability working allowance to be treated as made for a period commencing up to 3 days later than the date on which the claim is made; by providing for the same time limits for a claim made by an appointee for reduced earnings allowance or disablement benefit as for other benefits; and by inserting new regulations 37AA and 37AB providing for benefits to be withheld in various circumstances and for withheld payments to be made where those circumstances no longer exist.
