Second Region

An Order of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour to impose a three-month suspension on the granting of work permits (to foreigners), except in respect of government enterprises and contractors working for the Government. Other provisions temporarily authorize the transfer of workers from one employer to another (a reference to the system of sponsorship) and require that employers applying for work permits must henceforth submit copies of the contracts of employment they have concluded with the workers they propose to hire.
