Amendments to the Labour Standards Law include fixing weekly working hours at 40 hours, regulating overtime payment and shortening the qualifying period for annual leave from 1 year to 6 months. Amends the Temporary Measures Law for the Promotion of Reduction of Working Hours by providing that the Minister of Labour may appoint staff to the Aid Center for Reduction of Working Hours. The functions of the Aid Center include investigation and study, collection and dissemination of information on the reduction of working hours, and payment services for allowances for employers who reduce working hours. |
