Second Region

Provides that study leave does not include periods during which the worker participates in education/training at the request of the employer, or periods which are considered equal to periods of work in accordance with a collective agreement where the education/training is necessary for the worker's occupation. Study leave may be granted for trade union courses in accordance with collective agreements.
