Made by the Minister under sections 29,30 and 31 of the Social Security Act, 1992, No. 3. Revokes and replaces: 1) Regulation No. 5 of 1977 and No. 22, provides definitions concerning entitlement to "Invalidity Pension"; 2) Regulation 6 of 1977 and No. 22, makes provisions concerning the "Rate of Invalidity Pension".
Provides that a person who is an invalid and has not attained the age of 60 years is entitled to full invalidity pension if he has paid not less than 500 weekly contributions; or a reduced invalidity pension if he has paid more than 349 weekly contributions but has not paid 500 weekly contributions; or a transitory invalidity pension if he has paid more than 155 weekly contributions but has not paid 350 weekly contributions. Made under the Social Security Act 1972.
