Abstract/Citation
These rules, made under section 50 of the Cooperative Societies Ordinance of 1948, make provisions for the registration of cooperatives. It sets forth the criteria for membership and nominees. Provides for the division of profits among members. Specifies that the supreme authority shall be vested in the general meeting of members. Sets up the election of a Committee which shall represent cooperatives before all competent public authorities. Members who desire to obtain a secured loan shall submit an application to the committee which may approve it. Obliges every member of a registered society to deliver to it such amount of article produced or obtained by him, to be disposed of by the registered society. Other provisions cover the annual account, the appointment of a secretary and a treasurer, the reserve fund, the audit and accounts, by-laws and settlement of disputes.
