| Résumé/Citation: | This Act governs civil service employment in Egypt. It is comprised of 109 sections, and is divided into three Books. The second Book is divided into 12 Chapters. Chapter I covers civil service posts; Chapter II concerns appointments; Chapter III governs the calculation of remuneration; Chapter IV relates to promotions; Chapter V deals with wages and increases; Chapter VI provides for payment in cash and in kind and allowances; Chapter VII governs wages based on production as well as benefits and health and social welfare; Chapter VIII relates to transfers, temporary reassignments, loan of services, probationary periods and training; Chapter IX deals with holidays; Chapter X provides for employees' duties and prohibited activities; Chapter XI covers education and disciplinary sanctions; and Chapter XII governs termination of employment. |
