Abstract/Citation
This Act extensively amends the Veterans' Entitlements Act 1986. It consists of 20 Divisions: Division 2 deals with claims for qualifying service; Divisions 3, 4, 5 amd 6 deal with the four types of service pensions (age, invalidity, wife and carer service); Division 7 contains the Service Pension Rate Calculators; and the remaining divisions deal with provisions of general application to the four kinds of pensions (for example, the assets test and income test, and recipient obligations). Each of the four pension divisions is subdivided into eligibility, claims, rates, and bereavement payments sections.
