Makes provision for the equal treatment of men and women as regards access to employment, vocational training and promotion and working conditions; repeals or amends certain prohibitions or requirements relating to young persons and other categories of workers, assimilates the age limits for men and women for the purposes of redundancy payments and abolishes redundancy rebates to employers, and amends provisions relating to the payment out of the Redundancy Fund of certain debts due to employees in situations where the employer is insolvent. The Order is made for the purposes corresponding to certain provisions of the Employment Act 1989 (LLD 1989 GBR1). |
