Résumé/Citation: Provides that before all marriages between Buddhist women and non-Buddhist men, the couple must submit an application. The registrar is to publicly display the application for 14 days, following which time, if there are no objections, the marriage may be solemnized. The husband must respect his wife’s practice of Buddhism, make no attempts to convert her, allow their children to freely practice their religion and refrain from insulting Buddhism. If he violates any of these mandates, the Buddhist woman may divorce her husband, and the husband will be forced to relinquish his share of jointly owned property and lose guardianship of their children.
