Abstract/Citation: Makes a number of largely unrelated amendments to the 1987 Regulations bearing the same title to provide, inter alia, that new whole-time employees will be members of the Local Government Superannuation Scheme unless or until they elect to the contrary, to reduce the minimum age of entry into the scheme from 18 to 16 years, and to make ill-health lump sum retiring allowances payable in certain circumstances.
