Under Chapter 2, persons, inter alia, have the right to freedom from slavery, servitude, forced labour and human trafficking (article 10); freedom of assembly (article 18); freedom of association (article 19). Article 20 sets out further employment rights including the right to "fair employment practices, including humane treatment and proper working conditions". It also sets out the rights concerning equality freedom from discrimination (article 26), rights of the child (article 41); and rights of persons with disabilities (article 42).

The Constitution repeals the following:
(a) Executive Authority of Fiji Decree 2009;
(b) Revenue and Expenditure Decree 2009;
(c) State Services Decree 2009;
(d) Office of the Vice-President and Succession Decree 2009; and
(e) Administration of Justice Decree 2009.
