Abstract/Citation: Article 1. Amends the Maritime Code by adding a new title entitled "Title V: Liability limitation for Maritime Claims and insurance of shipowners against maritime claims". This Title deals with claims and limitation of claims in form of insurance certificates. Regulates the content and scope of insurance certificates, including merchandise as well as passengers. Gives prices of various certificates. A new chapter 3a is added to Title VII, part VIII entitled
"Chapter 3a Additional International Compensation Fund for Oil Pollution and Damage". Creation of the fund is based on the Protocol to the Convention done in London on 16th May 2003.

Article 2. Amendment to article 56 of the Act on the Marine Territories of the Republic of Poland and the Maritime Administration incorporating changes pertaining to the insurance certificate.

Article 3. Entry into force.
