Abstract/Citation: Part I amends the Code of Organization and Civil Procedure (Cap. 12) articles 187, 491, 519, 520, 521, 523, 747, 781 and 929 changing the wording of references to disabled persons, in particular those with mental disabilities.

Part II amends the Civil Code (Cap. 16) articles 189, 190, 597, 752 (substitution in the case of minors, of persons with a mental disorder or other condition, which renders them incapable of managing their own affairs, or insane persons), 1034 (liability of person having charge of minor, or person with a mental disorder or other condition, which renders him incapable of managing his own affairs), 1035, 1036 and 1241.

Part II amends the Equal Opportunities (Persons with Disability) Act (Cap. 413) articles 2, 5, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 33A (new article entitled 'Proceedings instituted by third parties'), 34, 34A (new articled entitled 'Defendant to prove that there has been no breach of Act'), 35, 36 (Power of Minister to designate focal point).
