| Abstract/Citation: | Amends the following articles in the Seafarers Act: Article 1 concerning the ship owners and employees that fall within the scope of the act. Article 2 concerning the duties of the shipowners. Article 3 concerning the representation of the seafarer in negotiations. Article 50 concerning seafarers right to file complaints. Article 54-64 concerning, inter alia, the rights of seafarers; seafarers register; certification; supervisory authorities; procedures and duties; supervision of foreign ships; fees, fines and other sanctions. Amends article 72 in the Ship Safety Act concerning the right of seafarers to file complaints. Amends chapter 2 in the National Insurance Act concerning the right of seafarers working on ships registered abroad to become members of the Norwegian National Insurance. Amends article 1 in the Seafarers' Pension Act concerning overlaps with the National Insurance Act. |
