Regulates the civil law in Greece. With respect to labour legislation, provides for the establishment of an employment contract between an employer and an employee(Article 648). Unless otherwise agreed to, wages are to be paid after the provision of employment (Article 655). The employee retains the right to wages, if less than ten days after work is started, they are prevented from working providing that there is a good reason and that it the employee is not at fault (Article 657). The employer has certain obligations with respect to the payment of wages in certain circumstances (Article 664). The employment contract ceases when the date which was concluded in the contract expires (Article 669). Each party is entitled in any event and at any time to terminate the contract for good reason, without observing a notice period. This right can not be excluded by agreement (Article 672). The contract is revoked upon the death of the worker. Also regulates the case where the employer dies (Article 675).
