Abstract/Citation
Provides for a Basic Island Pension to persons resident in St Helena who have contributed over the years to the labour market. Also provides for Income Related Benefits so that households that are unable to support themselves have their income raised to a pre-determined level. This 'poverty line' is determined for a household based on the number of adults and children living in the household, the presence of any disabled persons in the household and the housing costs.
