Regulates safety and health at work and includes provisions concerning: risk assessments; safety and health arrangements adapted to the size and functions of the enterprise; provision of health surveillance; appointment of competent persons to assist with health and safety issues in the enterprise; procedures for serious and imminent danger and for dangerous areas; contacts with external services; information for employees; co-operation and co-ordination; persons working in host employer's or self-employed persons' undertakings; capabilities and training; employees' duties; temporary workers; risk assessments in respect of new or expectant mothers; protection of children and young persons; fire precautions; and exclusion of civil liability. Does not apply to seafarers or to occasional work or short-term work involving domestic service in a private house or work regarded as not being harmful, damaging or dangerous to young people in a family undertaking. |
