Abstract/Citation: It amends several Articles of Regulation No. 24832 on seafarers:
Article 4, Part 1, No. 62 (concerning journey's length) and adds a new provisions under the same article, point 63 (seafarer's certificate of competency);
It amends Article 32, paragraph 1 (location and the date of the examinations - at least 3 times a year)
Article 34, paragraph c, point 2 (a certified copy of the relevant pages of the seaman's book (not applicable to persons applying for the first time to seafarer position or certain other seafarers)
Article 35, paragraph a, concerning examination questions and written and exams on computer
Article 37 concerning the selection of test questions;
Article 51 paragraph 1 concerning the conditions to met to become a seafarer;
Article 57, paragraph 20 concerning seaman's books certified by the Master;
Article 74 paragraph 1, adds the words "seafarer's certificate of competency" after the words "seaman's book"
Article 75 concerning the registration procedures
Article 80 concerning seaman's book and certificate of competency
Article 83 concerning the procedures following the seafarer's abdication, death or loss of documents for seafarers registered in the Turkish seaman registration book
Transitional Article 2, part 1 (test of language and consequences)
Repeals the transitional Article 2.
