Abstract/Citation: Provides that employers are obliged to take steps to prevent and control the spread of HIV/AIDS in the workplace through the development of policies for prevention and control, awareness raising, protecting HIV positive workers from discrimination and establishing OSH schemes for HIV/AIDS prevention and control. Workers with HIV/AIDS have the right to the same occupational health service and employment opportunity as other workers. The Government is to provide advise and supervise the establishment and implementation of HIV/AIDS policies. Also provides for HIV testing and privacy of information. Contains in the Annexes the text of the Tripartite Declaration "Commitment to combat HIV/AIDS in the World of Work" and the ILO Code of Practice on HIV/AIDS and the World of Work.
