Second Region

Parties are to undertake necessary legal reform and other appropriate measures to ensure a legal framework for preventing trafficking in conformity with the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Conventions on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and other international human rights instruments. Part II deals with preventive measures, which are to include, inter alia, measures establishing educational and vocational training programmes, increasing social services, enhancing awareness of trafficking, dissemination of information to the public. Part IV deals with protection of trafficked children and women, Part V regulates cooperation in suppression of trafficking of women and children, Part VI with repatriation, Part VII with reintegration, Part VII establishes a joint task force and Part IX contains the final provisions.
