Abstract/Citation
Provides for safety and physical and mental health of workers on board ships during work and off-duty time. Comprises 9 parts. Part 1 contains general provisions. Part 2 sets forth provisions concerning working environment, safety and health. Part 3 deals with personal protective equipment; Part 4 with work equipment. Part 5 regulates manual handling of objects. Part 6 contains special provisions concerning workers who are pregnant, have recently given birth, are breastfeeding or have children. Part 7 makes provision for protection supervisor and protection and environment committee. Part 8 sets forth duty of workers to cooperate. Part 9 contains concluding provisions.
