Abstract/Citation: Regulates various issues relating to children and parents. Divided into 9 parts. Part 1 (s. 1-2) provides for notification of childbirth and establishment of identity of mother of child. Part 2 (s. 3-9) makes provision for identity of father of child. Part 3 (s. 10-13) regulates duties of maintenance enforcement officer and county governor in paternity cases; Part 4 (s. 14-29) procedure in paternity cases. Part 5 (s. 30-43a) provides for parental responsibility and permanent residence of child. Part 6 (s. 44-50) deals with right of access and related issues. Part 7 (s. 51-62) makes provision for duty to rear child. Part 8 (s. 63-67) contains provisions regarding application of Children Act when parents have connections to foreign countries. Part 9 (s. 68-71) contains concluding provisions.
