Abstract/Citation: Regulates dispute settlement in civil service. Comprises 9 parts. Part 1 (s. 1) defines scope of act. Part 2 (s. 2-10) provides for right of State and civil service unions to engage in negotiations for concluding collective agreements. Part 3 (s. 11-13) deals with collective agreements. Part 4 (s. 14-19) governs mediation procedure in the event negotiations concerning conclusion of collective agreement do not result in agreement. Part 5 (s. 20-23) deals with breach of agreement and stoppage of work. Part 6 (s. 24-25) makes provision for labour court and ordinary courts. Part 7 (s. 26) provides for National Wages Board. Part 8 (s. 27-30) deals with Select Committee and Government Wages Committee. Part 9 (s. 31) establishes who may act on behalf of state. Part 19 (s. 32) contains transitional and Part 20 (s. 33) miscellaneous provisions.
